Leaping the Abyss
To be a Visionary and to bring your Vision to life requires fantastic courage – though this is not how many visionaries would see themselves. The very essence of Vision is heart, enough heart to care that much, enough heart to risk that much. The Visionary sees the way forward and steps that way, meeting great challenges along the way, both personal and practical challenges.
We cannot think our way to Vision, it is that which we are passionate about. When we talk to people about our Vision, our enthusiasm grows and is infectious.
When we are in a Visionary state of consciousness, we are drawn forward by a positive view of the future. We know where we are going even if we do not know the precise route to goal, not that we have to, we just need to be committed to the next step.
Visionaries Dare to be Different
Visionaries buck the trend, they do not do what has always been done, they see new possibilities and more effective strategies which include everyone in the associated success. A Visionary can balance details with the big picture and can see the minor changes that will transform any situation.
Because Visionaries experience great challenges, such as the disappointment and disillusionments of dealing with those who just don’t get it, those who don’t have the same level of courage and foresight – the pygmies, understanding what is really going on at a deeper level is crucial. Visionaries embody genius but even genius needs a little guidance, if not operating in their sphere of excellence.
